Employment

elishacare started the garden and building maintenance social enterprise in 2013 and is one of our biggest successes in rehabilitating the men in our network. We have three established teams working a 4-day week on any jobs booked in the local area that provides additional employment to assist with the demand of new comers and to help deliver purpose to the many more people in our programs.

One of the pathways to recovery is giving the opportunity for inclusion and self-satisfaction through volunteering time whilst staying connected through the working day. This can lead to employment through our garden & building maintenance social enterprise once stabilised and contributing positively with the team. The strength of our program rests with peer support – provided by participants who have become free from addiction through their involvement with elishacare.
